Wolfgang Breidert

Wolfgang Breidert (* 1937 in Erzhausen near Darmstadt ) is a German mathematician and philosopher .

Life

From 1957 to 1963 Breidert studied mathematics and physics in Göttingen , Munich and Gießen (state examination). From 1963 to 1973 he was Hans Blumenberg's assistant at the Institute for Philosophy in Gießen, Bochum and Münster. In 1967 he received his doctorate as Dr. phil. at the Ruhr University Bochum . Breidert was an academic senior counselor from 1973–2002, later academic director at the Institute for Philosophy at the University of Karlsruhe . He has been retired since 2002. Member of the International Berkeley Society .
