International horse race Maienfeld Bad Ragaz
The international horse race Maienfeld Bad Ragaz is an equestrian event held annually in October near Maienfeld in the Bündner Herrschaft . The competitions (in 2009: 22) have been taking place on the Rossriet below the neighboring municipality of Jenins since 1956 .
An average of 20,000 spectators visit the event every year, which makes the horse race one of the largest sporting events in the Canton of Graubünden . In 2009, 200 racehorses took part, the prize money totaled CHF 280,000.
The event is organized by the Maienfeld / Bad Ragaz racing club .
