Jenins ( Rhaeto-Romanic ) is a municipality in the Landquart region in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland .

The coat of arms with the two grapes was already used in the Jenins court seal in 1536.
geography
The community lies on a rubbish fan of Teilerrüfi at the foot of the mountain Vilan on the right side of the Chur Rhine valley . Of the entire municipal area of 10.5 km², 504 ha are agriculturally usable (partly alpine farms, partly arable land and 87 ha of vineyards). A further 421 hectares are covered by forest and wood. Of the rest, 87 ha is unproductive area (mostly mountains) and 38 ha is settlement area. The ruins of Neu-Aspermont Castle are located above Jenin .
Jenins borders on Maienfeld , Malans and Seewis in the Prättigau .
