The Reformed Church in Jenin in the Grisons domination is a Protestant - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons . The narrow tower with two-storey bell house, tower and onion dome characterize the village.

History and equipment

The church under the patronage of Mauritius is mentioned indirectly in a document in 1209. It is first documented clearly in 1330. Jenins accepted the Reformation as early as 1540 , so that the sacred building became a preaching church . In the center of the enclosed on three sides by a star-shaped vault spanned chorus is a font , also known as communion table is used. The nave is distinguished by a vertically tapering coffered ceiling . The pulpit without a sound cover rests on a stone attachment to the left of the choir. A wooden cross is attached to the wall - atypical for Reformed churches in Graubünden. The three-door organ corresponds to the pulpit on the opposite side to the right in front of the choir.

Church organization

The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden runs Jenins, which was in a pastoral community with Fläsch until 2015 , as an independent parish within the colloquium V Herrschaft-Fünf Dörfer .
