The Vilan , a 2376 meter high mountain at the entrance to the Prättigau above Seewis , is a popular hiking and ski touring destination.
In winter it can be reached via Seewis (bus connection from Landquart or Grüsch ), in summer also via Älpli in the west of the summit, where a cable car from Malans leads, the Älplibahn .
The summit in front of the Rätikon offers a good view of the Rhine Valley, the Churfirsten , Piz Bernina , Piz Kesch , Piz Linard and Ringelspitz .
