The Gonzen is a mountain peak in the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland at 1,830 m above sea level. M. It stands at the south-eastern end of the Alvier group in the north of Sargans like a wedge between the Seez and Rhine valleys, which are each at the same height, and is therefore an exposed summit with a view. To the north, the Gonzen runs in the plateau, which lies on the west side in front of the chain of peaks from Gauschla to Gamsberg , and is only 160 meters apart, which means easy access.
On Gonzen earlier were iron and manganese ores mined, the Gonzen Mine is now a show mine .
