Iona Dalli (born March 11, 1994 in Gudja ) is a Maltese singer .

Life

Iona Dalli was born on March 11, 1994 in Gudja, Malta. She went to the Margaret Mortimer Girls Junior Lyceum . She started singing at the age of three and participated in several local singing competitions. At the age of seven, Dalli sang her song Viva Malta at several music festivals in the People's Republic of China , and she also performs regularly with her choir in Tunisia at the Carnival of Tunisia . It was part of the popular Maltese musical Gensa . The singer took part in the talent shows The Academy and ID , which ran on the Maltese broadcaster TV One . In 2009 Iona Dalli went to London to study music at the Sylvia Young Theater School . In 2014 she took part in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest , the Maltese preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest , with the song Could Have Been Me written by Philip Vella . Here she reached the semi-finals, which will take place on November 21, 2014 in Marsa .

Today Iona Dalli lives in Gudja and has been giving singing lessons there at the Futur Voices agency since 2011 . She has two daughters.
