The Iowa Great Lakes are a group of at the end of the Ice Age formed lakes in Dickinson County in the northwest of the US -amerikanischen state of Iowa on the border with Minnesota . The geographical coordinates are 43 ° 23 '  N , 95 ° 6'  W .

The most significant lakes in their size are Big Spirit Lake (23 km²) north of the city of Spirit Lake , West Okoboji Lake (15.57 km²) and East Okoboji Lake (7.43 km²). They all drain into the Little Sioux River via Milford Creek . The aforementioned are also the largest natural lakes in Iowa.
