Irene Fargo

Irene Fargo (born November 1, 1963 in Palazzolo sull'Oglio , province of Brescia , as Flavia Pozzaglio ) is an Italian pop singer and musical artist .

Career

In 1988 she took part in the Festival di Castrocaro competition for young talent and reached the final. That earned her a recording deal and a year later her first single was released. Her first album followed the following year.

In 1991 and 1992 , she won second place in the young talent competition at the Sanremo Festival . Both festival entries made it into the Italian single charts. In the following years she took part in other festivals and was a permanent musical guest in two television shows in Italy in the 1990s.

In 2002 she played in a musical for the first time. It is Il ritratto di Dorian Gray ( The Portrait of Dorian Gray ). Further musical roles followed for her in I promessi sposi (The Fiancee) and in Cleopatra .
