Irene Kramer
Irene Krämer (born Irene Späder on September 1, 1957 in Trier ) is a German hospital pharmacist and holder of the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon . She is the director of the pharmacy at the Mainz University Medical Center and an adjunct professor for clinical pharmacy at the Institute for Pharmacy and Biochemistry there. She is married to Herbert Krämer.
Life
Irene Krämer studied pharmacy from 1977 to 1981 at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and received her license to practice as a pharmacist in May 1982. After creating a dissertation in the Department of Pharmacy at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, entitled The Oxadiazolsystem as urea equivalent in new histamine H 2 antagonists (Director: Walter Schunack ) she earned her doctorate in 1986. Dr. rer. nat. In May 1988 she was the first nationwide to complete the regular training course to become a “ specialist pharmacist for clinical pharmacy ” and in September 1991 took over the management of the pharmacy of the University Medicine at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz as the successor to Peter Frank. In 1995 she deepened her knowledge of clinical pharmacy with a study visit on the subject of “Pharmaceutical Care for Oncological Patients” in several US hospitals and a. Johns Hopkins Hospital Oncology Center, Baltimore and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center , New York.
In May 1999, Irene Krämer completed her habilitation in pharmaceutical technology at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz with the habilitation thesis Development, Quality Assurance and Application Optimization of Application-Ready, Individually Manufactured Parenterals in the Integrated Concept of Cancer Care . Since 2006, in addition to her position as pharmacy director, Irene Krämer has also been professor (apl.) For clinical pharmacy at the institute for pharmacy and biochemistry at this university. Since then she has successfully instructed more than 35 doctoral students (as of 01/2019) in the field of clinical pharmacy.
Services
Irene Krämer is one of the outstanding pioneers of clinical pharmacy in Germany, both scientifically and in terms of professional policy. Her scientific work focuses on the central preparation of cytostatics, the oncological patient, the clinical-pharmaceutical care of selected patient collectives, the stability of ready-to-use parenterals, protein drugs and biosimilars . The results of their scientific work can be found in more than 100 specialist publications and book chapters.
Professional political activities and committee work
1992–2000 member of the Presidium and 2000–2004 and 2010–2012 President of the Federal Association of German Hospital Pharmacists (ADKA eV); 2012–2014 its vice-president. Since 2012 deputy chairwoman of the ethics committee of the State Medical Association of Rhineland-Palatinate and member of the expert committee for prescription requirements at the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices . Since 2015 member, as an expert from the hospital pharmacy, of the KRINKO- BfArM -RKI working group .
