Irene Paredes Hernández (born July 4, 1991 in Legazpia , Gipuzkoa ) is a Spanish soccer player . She took part in the 2013 European Championship with the Spanish national team.

Athletic career

Paredes started playing football at SD Ilintxa . She joined Real Sociedad San Sebastián in 2008 through FC Urola and CD Zarautz . After three seasons she moved to Athletic Bilbao within the Superliga Femenina . With the club, she was in the 2012 Copa de la Reina final , which was lost to Espanyol Barcelona . For the 2016/17 season , the French runner-up Paris Saint-Germain FC signed the Baskin .

After Paredes had already been a junior national player, she made her debut for the Spanish national team in 2011. With this she took part in the 2013 European Championship and reached the quarter-finals. It was used in all four finals.
