Ireneusz Jacek Raś (born September 30, 1972 in Proszowice ) is a Polish politician of the Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform ).

Ireneusz Raś has a degree in history from the Pontifical Theological College ( Papieska Akademia Teologiczna , today Uniwersytet Papieski Jana Pawła II ) in Cracow .

In 1998 he became a member of a district council of Krakow and later chairman of the council. From 1999 to 2002 he was the director of the office of the Kraków mayor Andrzej Maria Gołaś . 2002-2005 Ras served as representative of the party Prawo i Sprawiedliwość ( Law and Justice ) Member of the City Council of Krakow . In the 2005 parliamentary elections he stood for the citizens' platform and was able to win a seat for the Sejm with 6,690 in constituency 13 Krakow . In the early elections two years later , he was also able to gain a seat in the Sejm with 15,808 votes. On May 22nd, he was also elected chairman of the Civic Platform for Lesser Poland.

Ireneusz Raś is married.
