action

The elderly Greta remembers an experience at the end of the Second World War : During the Battle of Berlin , the Red Army marched into the destroyed capital of the Reich. Young Greta is hiding with her father in the basement of a destroyed apartment building. The young German Otto shoots the advancing Russians from the basement window until he is shot down. The Russians then search the cellar and take Greta's father with them. The young soldier Anatolij finally finds Greta, who was hiding in a box, and rapes her. The Russian commander Fyodorov learns of the offense and lets his soldiers line up so that Greta can identify the rapist. Fyodorov threatens the offender with the appropriate punishment, presumably execution. Greta walks down the line of Russian soldiers and recognizes Anatoly. However, she does not betray him.
