Irina Atykowna Asisjan ( Russian Ирина Атыковна Азизян ; born April 9, 1935 in Moscow ; † June 22, 2009 there ) was a Russian art historian , architect and painter .

Life

Asizjan's father came from Armenia and was an active member of the Communist Party; however, she dealt with the problems of the Russian avant-garde . After graduating from the Moscow Architecture Institute , she taught painting at the same, then worked as a theorist on the subject of “synthesis of the arts”. In addition, she dealt with basic research on the work of Alexander Archipenko .

Asisjan leaves behind a great legacy of pictures - her main subjects: Armenia and Crimea - which are in the Orient Museum and Architecture Museum in Moscow and various private collections in Moscow, Yerevan, Romania, Spain and the United States.
