Undercover (original title: Под прикритие , transcription : Pod Prikritie, international marketing title: Undercover ) is a Bulgarian television series, which was produced in the years 2011-2016 for the television channel BNT . The first episode aired on April 17, 2011. In Germany, the series has been on the FOX Channel since December 5, 2014 . Amazon on Prime Video and Telekom on MagentaTV also provide all seasons. The series loosely based on Martin Scorsese's film The Departed - The Departed (The Departed), from the year 2006 .

Martin Christow goes undercover in criminal circles for an investigation against the Sofia mafia boss Petar “Jaro” Tudscharow . From the background he is supported by his mentor, Commissioner Emil Popow. He heads the special department against organized crime and has made it his life's work to put his former colleague Tudscharow in the mafia business. Popow finally wants to bring him to court and thus to long-term imprisonment.
As an undercover investigator, Christow faces numerous challenges and dangers in order to become part of the criminal world and to remain hidden as possible.
