Zachari Emilov Baharov ( Bulgarian : Захари Бахаров; born August 12, 1980 in Sofia ) is a Bulgarian actor .

life and career

Zachary Baharov was born as Zachari Emilov Baharov in the Bulgarian capital Sofia . He is of Turkish descent on his mother's side . He began his acting training at the National Academy for Theater and Film Arts "Krastjo Sarafow" . Since 2003 he has been on the stage in the national theater "Iwan Wasow" and has performed a. a. in productions of dramas such as King Lear , Don Juan and Der Kirschgarten . For these representations he was u. a. Awarded the “Askeer” award three times.

Baharov played his first major film role in the film Zift in the role of Motte . In addition to other film appearances, such as in Command Performance and The Way Back , Baharov played the role of Ivo Andonov in the series Undercover from 2011 to 2014 . In 2014 he starred in the film Monuments Men - Unusual Heroes . A year later he played a Thenn in the fantasy series Game of Thrones .

Together with his best friends and colleagues Vladimir Karamazov and Julian Wergow , he founded the production company "Three Bears Entertainment" in 2012, a company that has produced three plays since it was founded.

Baharov has been with the Bulgarian journalist Diana Alexieva for a long time, with whom he has two children, a son (* 2010) and a daughter (* 2013).
