Iris Bohnet

Iris Bohnet (* 1966 ) is a Swiss academic , behavioral economist and professor of public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge , Massachusetts.

Academic career

Bohnet completed her economics degree at the University of Zurich in 1997. After completing her doctorate with Bruno S. Frey , she spent a year as a research fellow at the Haas School of Business at the University of Berkeley in California . She then became an assistant professor at Harvard University in 1998, has been professor since 2006 and academic dean of Harvard Kennedy School since 2011 . Bonet is the first full Swiss professor at Harvard University .

Since 2012 she has been a member of the board of directors of the major Swiss bank Credit Suisse .

Personal

Iris Bohnet grew up in Emmen in the canton of Lucerne. At the age of 15 she was Vice Swiss Champion in synchronized swimming. She is married to Michael Zürcher and has two children.
