Peer Teuwsen
Peer Teuwsen (born November 1, 1967 in Hachenburg ) is a German - Swiss journalist .
Life
Teuwsen is the son of the German journalist Isabell Teuwsen . He was born in Germany , moved to Switzerland with his parents at the age of six and graduated from high school in Zurich . Teuwsen has dual citizenship . He lives in Ennetbaden in the canton of Aargau , is married and has two children.
Teuwsen is a graduate of the Ringier School of Journalism . After working as a freelance journalist and a study of German literature , philosophy and economic history , he joined in 1995 as domestic journalists and editorial staff of the magazine in the editorial of the Tages-Anzeiger one.
Until 2006 he was deputy editor-in-chief of the magazine . He then headed the “Culture and Science” department of Weltwoche . From 2008 he was the correspondent and head of the Swiss office of the time . In 2014 he set up the Hamburg edition of Die Zeit as head of department . From autumn 2014 to July 2019 he was editor-in-chief of NZZ Geschichte magazine ; from 2019 he was also one of the guest commentators for the NZZ am Sonntag . In August 2019 he took over the management of the cultural section of the NZZ am Sonntag .
