Iris Lachenmayer

Iris Lachenmayer (born February 22, 1954 - † February 20, 2017 in Kaufbeuren ) was a German ice stock athlete .

As a native of the Allgäu , she was interested in curling from an early age. She became a member of ESV Kaufbeuren in 1973 , but soon moved to Füssen , where she first played at ESC Zwiebelwies Füssen, then at ESG Füssen. For the Füssen clubs she won the first women's European Cup in 2003. In 2003 and 2005, she also won the German women's ice stock championship.

In 2014 she moved to Peiting and played for TSV there in the first women's team. She became German champion again in 2016. In addition, she won a bronze medal with the German national team at the games for the European Cup 2016 in Belarus. In 2000 she received the Silver Bay Leaf .

She died on February 20, 2017.
