Iris Wolfermann

Iris Wolfermann (* 1972 in Berlin) is a German illustrator and children's book author. She illustrates and writes books for children and young people.

biography

Iris Wolfermann studied art at the University of the Arts Berlin (UdK) with Christiane Möbus . As part of the Erasmus program, she studied multimedia at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London . Today she works as a freelance illustrator and author for publishers and agencies in Germany and abroad. From 2005 to 2010 she was an artistic assistant at the Berlin University of the Arts and taught at the Academy for Illustration and Design in Berlin. In 2012 she and three colleagues founded the first “Long Night of Illustration” in Berlin. She is a member of the Illustratoren Organization (IO), the professional association of German-speaking illustrators. Iris Wolfermann lives with her family in Berlin .
