Ireland Tour

The Tour of Ireland ( Engl . Tour of Ireland ) is in Ireland takes place forming cycle race .

The tour is a stage race and was part of the UCI Europe Tour in category 2.1. The organizer is The Events Group Limited in collaboration with the bicycle marketing company Shadetree Sports . The tour was held again in 2007 for the first time since 1992.

Between 1953 and 1992 the tour took place with interruptions, which was mostly started and ended in the Irish capital Dublin . The record winner of the event is local hero Sean Kelly , who won the tour four times.

The race was held for the last time in 2009.
