Iro Belluzzi

Iro Belluzzi (born July 12, 1964 in Camerino ) is a politician from San Marino . From 2012 to 2016 he was Minister of Labor of San Marino.

biography

Belluzzi graduated from Camerino University in 1989 with a degree in pharmacy . He then worked at the University's Institute of Microbiology until 2001. From 2001 to 2003 he worked as an informatore medico scientifico . Since 1993 he has worked as a pharmacist at the San Marino State Pharmacy and as a pharmacist in Faetano . From July 2001 to February 2002 he was the personal advisor (Segretario Particolare) to the Minister of Industry, and from 2002 to 2004 he was the coordinator of the industry and health departments.

Belluzzi is married and has one daughter.

politics

Belluzzi was a member of the Partito Socialista Sammarinese (PSS) since 1994 and since 2005 in the Partito dei Socialisti e dei Democratici, which emerged from the merger of the PSS and Partito dei Democratici . In 2006 he was first elected to the Consiglio Grande e Generale , the Parliament of San Marino. He was re-elected in the 2008, 2012 and 2016 elections.

From 2006 to 2012 Belluzzi was a member of the Consiglio dei XII , became a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee in 2006 and, after the 2008 election, a member of the Committee on Home Affairs and Justice. After the electoral alliance San Marino bene comune won a majority in the November 2012 election, Belluzzi became Minister of Labor (Segretario di Stato Lavoro, Cooperazione economica, Informazione) . In the legislative period from 2016 Belluzzi is a member of the Finance and Health Committee and the Consiglio dei XII.

Honors

Iro Belluzzi was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2014.
