Isaak Daniel Itzig (born December 20, 1750 in Berlin ; died July 7, 1806 there ) was a court factor in the civil service, as a Prussian upper court banker, since 1793 court building officer and road construction inspector and, together with his brother-in-law David Friedländer, co-founder of the Jewish free school in Berlin , which he directed until his death.

Isaak was a member of the Freemason Masters Berlin of the Asian Brothers (religious name Obermeister Matthias Ben Elohim).

family

Isaak Daniel Itzig was the son of the banker Daniel Itzig and Miriam, née Wulff (1727–1788). He was married to Edel (Adelaide), née Wulff, (1764-1851). The two sons of Isaak Daniel Itzig, Jakob and Benjamin (Benny) were co-founders of the reformed pedagogical Cauersche Anstalt . The daughter Marianne Louise was married to the founder and director of the institute, Ludwig Cauer .

The Itzig family was naturalized by a royal patent on May 2, 1791 .
