Isaak Hassler
Isaak Haßler , also Isaak von Haßler and also in the spellings Hassler and Hasler , (* around 1530 in Joachimsthal ; † July 14, 1591 (buried) in Nuremberg ) was a German , Evangelical-Lutheran church organist in Nuremberg. He was the father of the composers Hans Leo and Jakob Haßler and the organist Caspar Haßler .
Isaak Haßler was born around 1530 in Joachimsthal, Bohemia. From 1554 he lived as a stone cutter in Nuremberg. From 1558 until his de facto death in 1591 he worked as an organist in the hospital church in Nuremberg.
