Isabella Echeverri Restrepo (born June 16, 1994 in Medellín , Colombia ) is a Colombian soccer player . She currently plays the midfielder position for the Colombian women's national soccer team and Sevilla FC .

Career

Club soccer

Echeverri grew up in Colombia. In 2012 she went to the United States to study at the University of Toledo and play football for the Toledo Rockets . However, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) did not issue her before 2014. Since 2016 she has also played for the Houston Aces . For the 2019/20 season, Echeverri moved to Spanish first division club Sevilla FC .

National team

In 2011 she was appointed to the U-20 national football team of Colombia , where she was active until 2013. In 2014 she was appointed to the regular national team. She scored her first goal for the senior national team in a qualifying match for the 2015 Women's World Cup against Ecuador. At the World Cup she played for three minutes in the game against France. She was appointed to the Colombian squad for the 2016 Summer Olympics .
