Isabella Leeb

Isabella Leeb (born January 28, 1967 in Vienna ) is an Austrian builder and politician ( ÖVP ). Leeb was a non-executive city councilor in Vienna between 2008 and 2010 and a member of the Vienna state parliament from 2010 to 2015 .

education and profession

Leeb attended primary school and the Sacre Coeur grammar school in Vienna from 1973 to 1982 and graduated from the Marienanstalt commercial academy from 1982 to 1986. Then she continued her education at the HTL for structural engineering, Camillo Sitte Lehranstalt. In 1993 Leeb passed the master builder examination.

After completing her HTL training, Leeb joined the family business "Baumeister Rudolf Denk GmbH" and subsequently worked as a construction manager. In 2000 she took over the management of the company.

politics

Between 1990 and 1992 Leeb founded and headed the working group “Master Builders Sons and Daughters” (“Young Construction Industry”) in the Vienna Building Guild. Between 2004 and 2005 she was a member of the Provincial Guild Committee for the Vienna Construction Guild and in 2005 was elected Deputy State Guild Master of the Vienna Construction Guild. From 2005 to 2008 she was a member of the control committee of the Vienna Regional Health Insurance Fund , and since 2005 she has been a member of the Vienna Economic Parliament for the trade and craft sector.

After Katharina Cortolezis-Schlager's move to the National Council, Leeb succeeded on November 26, 2008 as a non-executive city councilor for the ÖVP in the state government of Häupl IV . According to his own statements, Leeb's political priorities were education, youth, information and sport, culture and science, health and social issues as well as integration, women's issues, consumer protection and personnel. After the state elections in 2010 , Leeb lost in a secret vote for the post of non-executive city council to Wolfgang Gerstl with 27 to 20 votes for Gerstl and subsequently lost her position as city councilor on November 5, 2010. However, she was sworn in on the same day as a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the City Council of Vienna.

Private

Leeb is married and has one child.
