Isabelle Boulais (born April 12, 2000 in Toronto ) is a Canadian tennis player .

Career

Boulais, who started playing tennis at the age of five, prefers clay courts. She mainly plays on the ITF Women's Circuit .

For the Rogers Cup she received a wildcard for qualification in 2016 , 2017 and 2018 , but failed each time in the first qualifying round. At the Challenger Banque Nationale de Saguenay 2016 , she reached the semifinals with her partner Jessica Pegula , which they lost 4-6 and 3-6 against the eventual winners Elena Bogdan and Mihaela Buzărnescu . Boulais won her first win in doubles together with her partner Ma Yexin in October 2017 in Colombo .

For the qualification at the Rogers Cup 2018 she received a wildcard, but lost in the first round against Sachia Vickery with 2: 6 and 1: 6. This was her last professional match in 2018. Since October 2018 she is no longer in the world rankings.

Isabelle Boulais is the daughter of the former Canadian world-class player Patricia Hy-Boulais , who won one WTA title as well as four ITF titles in singles and five in doubles from 1986 to 1998.
