Isabelle Comteße

Isabelle Comteße (born January 29, 1982 in Saarbrücken ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Comteße from Bous switched to BTV Wuppertal , the German series champion of the 1990s , when she was 15 . She played in Wuppertal for five years and also played in the Euroleague . After her time in Wuppertal she played for NB Oberhausen and Baskets 98 Völklingen before joining TV 1872 Saarlouis in 2005 . In the 2009 and 2010 playing years, the 1.80-meter-long construction player won the German championship title with Saarlouis, and in 2008, 2009 and 2010 the German cup competition. In the 2010/11 game year she took part in the European club competition EuroCup with Saarlouis .

In April 2011 she resigned from competitive sports, on the occasion of her departure she was described by the Saarbrücker Zeitung as “probably the best basketball player that Saarland has produced”. In the course of the 2012/13 season, however, she ran again for Saarlouis and contributed to the promotion to the Bundesliga.

In the 2016/17 season Comteße, who is now working as a police officer, again helped out in Saarlouis (now back in the 2nd Bundesliga).

National team

Comteße was a German national youth player, in July 2000 she took part in the U18 European Championship in Poland and a few weeks later in the U20 European Championship in Slovakia . In both tournaments she was the best template provider in the German selection.
