Isidorus is an impact crater on the front of the moon north of Mare Nectaris , north of Daguerre and immediately west of Capella . The crater is eroded, is located inside the craters Isidorus A . The eastern edge is covered by Capella.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Spanish saint and scholar Isidore of Seville .
