Isis Mussenden

Isis Mussenden (born May 22, 1959 in Los Angeles ) is an American costume designer .

Life

Isis Mussenden first studied art at the CSB College of Creative Studies in Santa Barbara . This was followed by further studies at the Parsons School of Design NYC , which she completed in 1982 as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in fashion design.

Her theater career began with a stint at Joseph Papps' Shakespeare in the Park festival in New York. The first film for which she was responsible as a costume designer was the youth film "Nachtschwärmer" from 1987. Mussenden has designed the costumes for around 70 cinema, television films and episodes of television series. She won a number of awards for the film The Chronicles of Narnia - The King of Narnia  . a. the Costume Designers Guild Award and received a BAFTA nomination.

She has been a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences since 2008 .
