Islam Toghaibayev

Islam Uachituly Toghaibajew ( Kazakh Ислам Уахитұлы Тоғайбаев , Russian Ислам Уакитович Тогайбаев ; born March 11, 1950 in Torghai, Kazakh SSR ; † October 8, 2012 in Qaraghandy ) was a Kazakh politician.

Life

Islam Toghaibayev was born in 1950 in Torghai Village, Shangeldi County, in the former Torghai Territory (now the Qostanai Territory ). In 1972 he graduated from Karaganda Polytechnic Institute. He also graduated from the Academy of Social Sciences at the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union .

He started his professional career at Karagan-dapromstroi in various positions. Since 1981 he has been involved in the Communist Party of Kazakhstan . He was in charge of the Industry and Transportation Department of the Communist Party District Committee in Karaganda City . He later became head of the Department of Construction and Public Services and then the second secretary of the Karaganda Party Committee. From February 1988 to 1992 he was chairman of the Executive Committee of the Karaganda People's Deputies Regional Council. From 1992 to 1997 he was managing director of the Kramds-Ortalyk company and from 1997 to 1999 he managed the Kargormasch-ITEKS company. Later he was advisor to the Akim (governor) of the Karagandy region , Akim (mayor) of the Sovetsky district (now Qasybek bi) of the city of Karagandy and the deputy Akim of the Karagandy region. On May 27, 2006, he was named Akim of Karagandy. In January 2010, Toghaibayev resigned from his post for health reasons.

He died in Karaganda on October 8, 2012.
