The Isle of Ewe ( Scottish Gaelic : Eilean Iùbh ) is a Scottish island in Loch Ewe , a bay in the North Atlantic . The 309 ha (3.09 km²) island is west of Aultbea in the county of Ross and Cromarty in the Highland . The coast of the island, which rises up to 72 m above sea level, is characterized by both flat beaches and cliffs. In 2011 seven people lived on Ewe.
Since Isle of Ewe is reminiscent of the phrase “I love you” , the island is a popular destination for tourists.
The island is also a setting in the computer game Tales of Monkey Island and is sung about by the Scottish musician Aidan Moffat .
