Ismael Íñiguez (born July 23, 1981 in Ocotlán , Jalisco ), also known by the nickname El Cachas , is a Mexican football player whose regular position is in midfield .

Life

"El Cachas" Íñiguez began his professional career at CA Monarcas Morelia , for whom he was under contract between 2001 and 2003 and with whom he reached a total of four finals during this period: twice in a row in the Mexican championship ( Apertura 2002 and Clausura 2003) and in the CONCACAF Champions' Cup (2002 and 2003). But in all cases the Monarcas went as losers from the field.

In the summer of 2003 he moved to the Club Universidad Nacional , with which he had an extremely successful year in 2004: both championships (both the Clausura and the Apertura) were won, as well as the Mexican Supercup and the Trofeo Santiago Bernabéu . Another championship title was added in the Clausura 2009 .

The following 2010/11 season he spent with the newly promoted (and later relegated) Necaxa and in the 2011/12 season he played for the first time in the top division of Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente .
