Ismaila Sambou

Ismaila Kabba Sambou (born November 16, 1948 in Darsilami , Kombo Central , West Coast Region ) was Minister of State for Local Government and Lands and Religious Affairs in the West African state of Gambia .

Life

Sambou went from 1964 to 1968 to a privately run technical college and then to 1970 to Yundum College and studied cooperatives ( Cooperative Studies ).

In this area he worked as a Secco manager from 1970 to 1976 and then as a field coordinator until 1980 . This was followed by the role of operations coordinator , manager and trainer until 1984 . Until 1988 he worked as counterpart / ILO project manager in the Gambia Cooperative Union Systems . From 1988 he was a freelance consultant.

On March 24, 2005, President Yahya Jammeh appointed him Minister of Community and Land Management. Later, on September 24, 2007, the religious affairs department was added. He held the office until February 4, 2010 and was replaced by Pierre Tamba .

Subsequently, from April 2010, he was accredited as ambassador to Senegal , Mali and Burkina Faso .
