Genlog
Genlog is a German band that mainly produces music from the fields of techno and drum and bass . It consists of Claus Pieper (born June 23, 1964 ), Oliver Kuntzer (born August 15, 1967 ) and Ingo Kays. The group also published under the project names Atropin Project , The Bleachers , Energy Artist Squad and Kemiri .
The debut single Genlog EP Vol. 1 with the hit Mockmoon was released in 1992 on the Belgian label Music Man and brought the band an appearance on the Großrave Mayday . In 1993 he switched to the Berlin label Low Spirit . Several appearances followed, for example on the Low Spirit Tour and the subsequent Mayday events.
In July 1997 their first album Alive and Kicking was released . In 2002 the album was re-released by Mockmoon , with remixes by Erik Vyskooil and Rave Allstars alias Jens Ophälders, Paul Hutsch and Stefan Müller.
In the same year, the single This Is Not A Lovesong was released . This was created in collaboration with transmitter front man Jeff Ogle. When the track was released, covers of the PIL classic This is not a Love Song were already in circulation. However, it is a completely original composition. Pieper and Kuntzer separated in 2002. Since then, Claus Pieper has been producing under the project name Eigenart .
