The Isojärvi is a lake in the Finnish landscape Satakunta . It is the largest of a total of 31 Finnish lakes of the same name.
Its southern part is in the Pomarkku municipality , the northern part belongs to Siikainen . The 38.82 km² large and 34.8 m high lake is part of the Karvianjoki river system . The Isojärvi is a so-called bifurcation lake . It has two drains. Most of its water flows over the Merikarvianjoki in a northerly direction to the Gulf of Bothnia . A small part flows over the Salmusoja to Lake Poosjärvi and further over the rivers Poosjoki , Lampinjoki and Pohjajoki to the Gulf of Bothnia.
