István Rédei [ ˈiʃtvaːn ˈreːdɛ.i ] (born August 23, 1983 ) is a Hungarian handball player .
The 1.97 meter tall and 101 kilogram right back player has been under contract with Cesson-Rennes Métropole HB since summer 2014 . Previously he played for Debreceni KSE , JD Arrate , Tatabánya KC and Dijon Bourgogne HB . He played in the EHF Cup with Debrecen and Tatabánya (2007/08, 2008/09, 2011/12).
István Rédei scored 27 goals in 14 international matches for the Hungarian national team (as of December 2009); he is in Hungary's squad for the 2010 European handball championship .
