István Somodi (1908)

István Somodi (born August 22, 1885 in Cluj , today Romania , † June 8, 1963 ibid) was a Hungarian high and long jumper .

At the Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens in 1906 , he was eighth in the long jump and sixth in the standing long jump . In the high jump he did not make it into the top eight.

In 1908 he shared the silver medal with Con Leahy and Géo André , behind Harry Porter (1.905 m) , in the high jump at the Olympic Games in London with a jump of 1.88 m .

In 1905 he became national champion in the long jump and in 1908 in the high jump.
