Itakayt (II.)
Itakayt was an ancient Egyptian king's daughter and queen in the Middle Kingdom . She lived at the time of the kings Sesostris II and Sesostris III. (ruled about 1882 to 1842 BC) and was apparently the daughter of the former. Itakayt had a pyramid next to the pyramid of Sesostris III. at Dahshur . Their names and titles were found on fragments of reliefs that once adorned the pyramid temple there. A papyrus fragment from Lahun names the round image of Itakayt next to that of the king's daughter Nofret . Perhaps this suggests that she was a daughter of Sesostris II, as evidenced for Nefertiti. Accordingly, she would be the sister of Sesostris III. next to which she was buried.
