Ito (born April 17, 2011 at Gestüt Schlenderhan ) is a German racehorse .
His father is Adlerflug , who won the German Derby and the Baden Grand Prix , among others , the mother is Iota. Ito is owned by the Schlenderhan Stud.
Races and achievements
Ito completed his first race on April 21, 2014 at the Cologne-Weidenpesch racecourse and came third there. Two victories in Cologne and Munich followed this year.
In 2015 he won the very first race in Krefeld, and Filip Minarik was the jockey in this race . The Black-Type status gained Ito with the victory in the Listed race the " price of Dahlwitz " on the racetrack Berlin-Hoppegarten . His greatest successes were winning the Grand Prix of Baden Entrepreneurs ( group ΙΙ ) on June 7, 2015 and first place in the Bavarian Grand Prix , a group Ι race at the Munich racecourse on November 1, 2015.
In 2015 he was fourth among all German racehorses in terms of the amount of winnings .
On May 8, 2016, Ito won the 81st Gerling Prize (Group 2) in a new track record time of 2: 25.33 minutes. However, this track record only lasted 2 years. In 2018, Oriental Eagle won the 83rd Gerling Prize in a new track record time of 2: 24.05 minutes.
In October 2016, Ito had to end his racing career due to a tendon injury.
