Ittenberg is a district of the municipality Sulzbach an der Murr in Baden-Württemberg .
geography
Ittenberg is located south of the Murr on a plateau at around 460 m above sea level in the Murrhardt Forest. The surrounding locations are the Eschelhof, also on Ittenberger Markung, in the south, Siebenknie in the southeast, Sulzbach an der Murr in the north, Oppenweiler in the west and the deserted Einsiedel in the southwest. The Ittenberger Bach, a tributary of the Murr, rises in Ittenberg .
history
Ittenberg used to be called "Ickenbach", "Icken" is an old name for "Eschen".
The first documented mention dates back to 1376, further mentions are from 1509, 1575 and 1590. In the 1590 camp register , five houses, five barns , a farm and five family names are mentioned. There were three fiefs on the mark that belonged to the Murrhardt Monastery.
Each suburb of Sulzbach was an independent administrative unit within its boundaries, which had to take care of its own needs. Ittenberg belonged to the lower Sulzbach office.

Forced labor
When forced labor , the activities Berger felt overwhelmed because they had to do with 16 cattle trailer services.
