Ivan Horvat (born February 17, 1993 in Bolzano , Italy ) is a Croatian handball player who is under contract with the Austrian club Alpla HC Hard .
Career
Horvat played in Croatia by RK Bjelovar , with whom he in the 2011/12 season at the EHF Challenge Cup took part, as well as in GRK Varaždin, for which he in the seasons 2014/15 and 2015/16 in the EHF European Cup aground. With Varaždin he became Croatian runner-up cup winner in 2016. In the summer of 2016, the 1.93 meter tall back player joined the German Bundesliga club SG Flensburg-Handewitt , with whom he signed a two-year contract. In February 2018 he signed a contract with the Austrian HLA club Alpla HC Hard, which was valid until June 2018 .
Ivan Horvat played 21 international matches for the Croatian junior national team, with which he became European junior champion in 2010. For the national team , he played 52 international matches.
Horvat has started studying to become a physiotherapist.
