Ivan Martić (born October 2, 1990 in Derventa , Yugoslavia ) is a Swiss football player who is under contract with Spezia .

Career

Ivan Martić began his career at FC Uzwil before going through various junior levels at FC St. Gallen . In 2007 he made his debut in the highest age group, the U-21, in the 1st division. For the following season, Martić was already in the extended squad of the first team. On May 25, 2009 he made his debut in the first team, when he was allowed to play from the start, like some other young players, after the previously achieved promotion in the meaningless game at FC Lugano. In the second half of the 2009/10 season, Ivan Martić was loaned to FC Schaffhausen in the Challenge League, where he also scored his first goals in professional football.

After his return to FC St. Gallen, he was also increasingly used in the Super League. In contrast to the last few years, when he mainly played in right midfield, Martić now mainly acted as a right full-back . After a long break from injury, including an operation on the ankle, Martić returned at the end of November 2012 and also scored his first goal for FC St. Gallen to make it 1-1 on his comeback against FC Luzern . For the 2014/15 season, Martić changes to last year's Serie A promoted Hellas Verona . Nothing is known about the transfer fee or the length of the contract.
