The Ives Tongue (English for Ives tongue ) is a narrow tongue of land on an unnamed island off the coast of the East Antarctic Kemplands . It lies between the mainland coast and the Foldøya .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations discovered and named them William Scoresby in February 1936 during an Antarctic voyage with the RRS . The further naming background has not been passed down.
