Ivo Lhotka-Kalinski

Ivo Lhotka-Kalinski (born July 30, 1913 in Zagreb , † January 29, 1987 in Zagreb) was a Yugoslav composer .

The son of the composer Fran Lhotka completed his music studies in Zagreb with Franjo Dugan and Rome with Ildebrando Pizzetti . He later taught himself as a professor of singing from 1951 to 1981 at the Zagreb Music Academy . His works are indicative of the development of Croatian music. In addition to several operas , musical farces and comedies, he composed about twenty fairy tales for children and film music.
