Ivory Night is a Palatine heavy metal band from Kaiserslautern , whose style is partly supplemented by elements from rock, blues, swing, punk, progressive to thrash and grindcore.

history

Ivory Night went in October 1997 from the school band B / M / D forth. Patrick Fuchs is the only remaining founding member of the group. The band name is supposed to combine the lightness of the ivory with the dark of the night and thus explain the spectrum of their music: from poppy melodies to Thrash Metal .

After four unreleased and one official demo , Ivory Night released their self-distributed debut album 7 - Dawn of the Night in December 2004 . The group's first tour took place in March 2007 and included concerts in Peru and Ecuador . On June 29, 2007, the second work Machine appeared .

In late 2005, Ivory Night provided the backing band for Josh Kramer, the singer of the American white metal band Saint , on his tour of Germany. Since April 2006 Patrick Fuchs and Carsten Kettering have been playing in the RTB band , the new formation of the former Manowar guitarist Ross The Boss .

The official CD distribution is "Dr.Music Distribution" (Dortmund)

  • official CD release of the album Machine on March 14, 2008
  • official maxi single Go Braves . Publication on October 3, 2008 (Official anthem of the Pro A basketball players Kaiserslautern Braves (renamed "Teckpro Braves") from Kaiserslautern / Homburg)

In 2008 the first official Ivory Night fan club INT-INFANTRY was founded under the direction of Sarah Gaus and Michael “The Lord Of Metal” Reis (also Majesty fan club leader). The fan club offers members many specials around Ivory Night, e.g. B. unpublished recordings, bootlegs and other perks. The conversion of the fan club into an official “Streetforce” took place in mid-2008. The line was taken over by Marjo Verdooren (Metal Revelation). There are now street forces in the USA, Slovenia, Romania and many German cities.

In May 2010 the band introduced their new guitarist Benedikt Zimniak (also a member of the Mekong Delta ). Patrick Fuchs has been the only singer of the band since then. In November 2010, two weeks before the release of the new album The Healing via Aaarrg-Records, Carsten Kettering surprisingly got out of Ivory Night. In the official announcement of the band it is said that a collaboration for personal reasons is no longer possible for both sides. Carsten Kettering also reported on his official MySpace / Facebook page that he wanted to concentrate more on professional and private projects and thus no longer stand in the band's way. His successor on bass is Kalle Keller. During the summer of 2011, guitarist Benedikt Zimniak left the band due to lack of time, and Patrick Fuchs has since returned to the guitar.
