Iwan Anatoljewitsch Nedelko ( Russian Ива́н Анато́льевич Неде́лько ; English: Ivan Anatolyevich Nedelko; born May 12, 1986 in Leningrad , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian tennis player .

Career

Nedelko played tournaments on the third-class ITF Future Tour from 2007 . It was not until 2010 that he was able to show his first successes in the individual and reach his first final and at the end of the year occupied 553rd place in the world rankings . He won a future title in doubles. In 2011 he improved his ranking by almost 150 places and, in addition to two finals at Futures, was also able to reach his first main field - thanks to a wildcard - on the ATP World Tour in St. Petersburg . There he could only win one game against Potito Starace . 2012 Nedelko was the first time in a couple of tournaments in the ATP Challenger Tour participate, won there in Penza also his first match. In addition, he successfully fought his way through qualification in St. Petersburg . This time he lost to Serhiy Stachowskyj in two sets. In 2013 and 2014 he fell back in the ranking so that he could only play futures. From some finals during this time he could only win one in Egypt.

In 2015 the Russian made a small breakthrough. He won five future titles and reached three other finals, so that he was 309th at the end of the year. The picture was similar in each of the two following years. In 2016 Nedelko won another three, in 2017 another four futures, but rarely managed to win qualifications or a match at the higher endowed Challengers and ATP events. In Almaty he was able to advance into a Challenger quarter-finals for the first time; at the end of the year it was again just under the top 300.

In July 2018, Nedelko reached a new career high of 235th place, which, as in previous years, mainly earned him the points from five future titles. Thanks to his ranking, he was able to participate in the qualification of the Grand Slams in Wimbledon and New York, where he lost in the first round. In doubles, his best value in the ranking is 674th place in June 2014. To date, he has won 19 futures, including one in doubles.
