Ivan Byelyayev

Ivan Pawlowytsch Byelyaev ( Ukrainian Іван Павлович Бєляєв , Russian Иван Павлович Беляев Ivan Pavlovich Belyayev ; English transcription: Ivan Pavlovich Belyayev * 8. February 1935 in Kharkiv ) is a former Ukrainian athlete who for the Soviet Union took. In 1964 he became Olympic third in the 3000-meter obstacle course .

Bjeljajew won the obstacle course at the Soviet championships in 1964 in 8: 35.4 minutes with two tenths of a second ahead of three other runners. With this success he qualified for the Soviet team at the Olympic Games in Tokyo .
