Skalø is a Danish island in the Smålandsfarvandet ( German : Smålandsfahrwasser ) north of the island of Lolland . The island has a size of 106  hectares . Since January 1st 2011, the population of Skalø is no longer shown separately by Danmarks Statistics . The island is part of the parish community ( Dan. : Sogn ) Fejø Sogn , originally for Harde Fuglse Herred in Maribo office belonged, from 1970 then to Ravnsborg in the former Storstrøms Amt that the municipal reform on 1 January 2007 in Lolland municipality in the Sjælland region has risen.

There are only two fishermen's houses and three farms on the island. At the southern tip there is a small fishing port with only shallow water. Skalø is connected to the larger island Fejø by a dam.
