Iwo Iwanow (also spelled Ivo Ivanov , Bulgarian Иво Иванов ; born March 11, 1985 in Kazanlak ) is a Bulgarian football player who has been playing for FC Wereja Stara Sagora in the Bulgarian A Grupa since summer 2017 .
Career
Ivanov started his career in the youth team of Beroe Stara Sagora . In the 2003/04 season he made his professional debut in a B-Grupa game against PFC Panayot Wolow. Overall, Iwo Ivanov completed 96 league games for Beroe before he moved to Levski Sofia in June 2010 for a transfer fee of 100,000 euros. In the summer of 2012 he returned to Stara Sagora. There he won the Bulgarian Cup in 2013. He was a regular for his team for five years, leaving the club in the summer of 2017 for local rivals FC Wereja , who had just been promoted to A Grupa.
On November 18, 2009 he made his debut for the Bulgarian national team in a friendly against Malta (4-1 for Bulgaria).
